Automation Engineer
Description:
- Analyze, develop, support, implement and test industrial automation languages such as ladder, statement list, function block diagram, sequential function chart, instruction list for automated process cells using programmable logic controllers (PLC).
- Commission automated cells performing hardware check and device configuration, with input/output, electromechanical, pneumatic and safety equipment.
- Configure and debug industrial network systems such as ETHERNET/IP, PROFINET, PROFISAFE, PROFIBUS, SAFETYBUS P, DEVICENET and INTERBUS.
- Analyze and design electrical schematics using EPLAN and AutoCad for network, power and control distribution for automated systems.
- Create and perform train for maintenance and production teams to support automated equipment after deployment into production.
- Debug and optimize automated processes to maximize cycle time, improve availability and yield.
- Design, update and deploy human-machine interface (HMI) systems for automation control cells systems.
- Program machine vision systems used in automated manufacturing to inspect and identify parts, detect defects, verify product assembly, and guide assembly robots.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related and a minimum of 36 months relevant experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
Industrial Trainee
Description:

Design and Deliver Training Courses: Work with clients to develop course content that meets their needs. Includes design of practical or lab exercises. Deliver the course to Stoner Engineering’s standards

Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses through feedback and performance metrics; refining as needed by clients

Collaboration: Work with other instructors to develop quality content. Acquire knowledge to teach additional courses from the Director of Technical training

Innovation: Stay abreast of new techniques in manufacturing and training
Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Minimum certificate or associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Maintenance or closely related area

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of field experience in industrial facility. Training or supervising others is a plus

Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful training programs

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and industrial technology

Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices

Physical Requirements: This position requires ability to walk through manufacturing facilities and teach in industrial environments
